Charlton Kings

This was a dated, compartmentalised house on a generous plot — a property with real potential that was being held back by its layout. To unlock it, we stripped the house right back and reconfigured it around how a modern family actually lives.

Steel-framed side and rear extensions opened the ground floor into a large, light-filled kitchen and living space, while the first floor was reworked to make the most of the additional footprint. Externally the transformation is dramatic: clean white render, warm timber cladding and a striking double-height glazed gable give the house a confident, contemporary presence.

What began as a tired, closed-in property is now one of our favourite family homes — open, bright and full of a real sense of arrival.
